Why you need a VA now more than ever!
Ok, hear me out! Yes, we’re in a pretty weird time at the moment, there’s no denying it, and the thought of spending more money out on outsourcing seems crazy to you. Yep, I get it! You’re focusing on ways to earn your money and most probably pivoting your business to adjust to the oddness. Now here I am telling you to invest in a Virtual Assistant! What?! I’ll get to the point before you think I’m crazy.
1. Now more than ever, as an entrepreneur or owner of a small business, you really need to focus on the core, the money maker. You no longer have the time to spend on all the other tasks. Getting a VA on board means they can take on the smaller details, while you focus on the bigger picture. A Virtual Assistant can take on the admin, emails, support… the list goes on.
2. Accountability and support! Whether it be with work, exercise, housework, we have all had those times when we say to ourselves ‘ah, that can be done later’ or ‘I’ll do it tomorrow’, meaning we are really just creating more work for ourselves. On the days when you are really not motivated to get started on your work to do list, your VA will make sure you are… whether you like it or not, they will be in your to do list cracking on. If anything, you’ll be motivated out of guilt! Or when your lack of motivation has stemmed from a block, an uncertainty, a big decision or lack of knowledge, you have your VA to bounce ideas off of, to be your cheerleader. There can be nothing more valuable than that. A little bit of support can go a long way.
3. You are so overworked, if you’re reading this, you definitely are. Especially at this funky, strange time. You’re feeling the guilt for not being attentive enough with the kids, or your other half. All you hear is everyone say ‘you’ll never have this time again, use it to up skill’ ‘do a course’ ‘reconnect with your family’ ‘get to know your neighbours’ blah blah blah. Instead you are working all the hours to try and keep your business ticking over. I can guarantee this isn’t one of the reasons you started. A VA can give you that time back so you can quite simply, take a break. You can’t drink from an empty cup, the time away can drive your imagination, giving you fresh ideas.
4. Right now more than ever, when your audiences are also watching the pennies, your product or service truly needs to be amazing. If they are going to part with their cash, it needs to be worth it. A Virtual Assistant can help keep everything organised and systems in place.
5. Finally, there are a lot of businesses out there who are extremely quiet right now, but KNOW once restrictions are lifted, they are going to be busier than ever… I’m already worrying about how long the waiting list is with my hairdresser for my roots!! Why not use this time to prepare? Be proactive, not reactive. The last thing you want to be is overwhelmed and have to turn work away because you didn’t set up properly.
So there you have it! I hope you’ve changed your perspective and can now see the bigger picture and ultimately the path to managing this time wisely, coming out of it prepared and focused. You got this!
